We are looking for a Principal to join the AI Hub team, within the Data, AI & Analytics CoE area at MC Digital (Maia / Carnaxide), and we believe we’ll be #betterwithyou.
We count on you to…
• Be the top technical excellence reference within the ML & AI Hub;
• Define standards, frameworks, and best practices applied to AI solutions;
• Ensure quality, scalability, security, and governance of the Hub’s solutions;
• Lead the technical design of complex solutions involving models, pipelines, agents, and platforms;
• Unblock technical, architectural, or governance challenges in the most critical use cases;
• Perform strategic reviews of the Hub’s initiatives, ensuring end‑to‑end alignment with product and engineering teams;
• Promote continuous learning within teams and ensure documentation of the practices and frameworks developed;
• Represent the Hub with internal stakeholders and external partners, assessing emerging trends and technologies for application in the MC context.
So, bring with you…
• A higher education degree in Computer Engineering, Computing, Industrial Engineering, or related fields;
• 5–8+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, AI Engineering, Software Engineering, or Product Architecture;
• Proven experience building scalable AI/ML solutions and data pipelines;
• Strong knowledge of MLOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, observability, version control);
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (Scikit‑learn, PyTorch, or equivalents);
• Knowledge of security, governance best practices, and the AI Act;
• Ability to critically evaluate LLM/low‑code solutions and choose the appropriate technical approach;
• Strategic vision, critical thinking, high autonomy, and a strong sense of ownership;
• Excellent technical communication and cross‑functional influence skills;
• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
