We are looking for a M&A Associate to join our Corporate Development team in Matosinhos, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!
We count on you...
- Identify and challenge senior leadership with new opportunities that support MC’s ambitions and accelerate its growth strategy;
- Coordinate and prepare investment presentations for M&A opportunities, partnerships or corporate finance projects, leading discussions with senior leadership;
- Oversee financial analysis and company valuation, including business plan development, assessment of potential transaction structures and execution of valuation exercises;
- Manage the due diligence process across different transactions, such as acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and mergers;
- Support the management of MC’s corporate partnerships and explore new joint value creation opportunities, coordinating multiple stakeholders;
- Manage corporate projects grounded in analytical and corporate finance capabilities, supporting the business in areas such as new business development, portfolio management and others.
So, bring with you:
- At least 3 years of experience in an investment bank, private equity firm, corporate finance or strategy consulting;
- Higher education degree;
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and/or corporate finance;
- Critical thinking, proactivity and the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong analytical and numerical mindset, with a solid understanding of corporate finance and the ability to challenge business assumptions beyond financial aspects;
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, with the ability to structure and convey ideas and insights in a concise and logical way;
- Strong team orientation and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple functions and business units.
