We are looking for a M&A Associate/Manager to join our Corporate Development team in Matosinhos or Carnaxide, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!

We count on you...

• Identify and challenge management with new opportunities that can support MC's ambitions and accelerate its growth strategy;
• Coordinate and prepare investment presentations for M&A opportunities, partnerships, or corporate finance projects, leading discussions with management;
• Develop and/or oversee financial and valuation analyses of companies, including the preparation of business plans, assessment of potential transaction structures, and execution of valuation exercises;
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from opportunity identification through execution;
• Manage the due diligence process for various transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and mergers;
• Support the management of MC’s corporate partnerships and explore new joint value-creation opportunities, engaging with multiple stakeholders;
• Manage corporate projects grounded in analytical and corporate finance capabilities, supporting the business in areas such as new business development, portfolio management, and other strategic initiatives.

So, bring with you:

• At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or strategy consulting;
• University degree;
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and/or corporate finance;
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, proactivity, and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
• Strong analytical and numerical mindset, with a solid understanding of corporate finance and the ability to challenge business assumptions beyond financial considerations;
• Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, with the ability to structure and communicate ideas and insights in a concise and logical manner;
• Strong team-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple functions and divisions within the group.
