We’re currently looking for a LINE LEADER – INTAKE to join our team at SOHI in Santarém, and we believe we’ll be #betterwithyou
SOHI is the result of a joint venture between MC and Hilton Foods. Operating in Santarém since 2002, SOHI supplies pre-packaged fresh meat. With a team of over 650 employees, we ensure daily deliveries to our stores. Committed to safety, well-being, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement, SOHI processes high-quality beef, pork, and lamb in pre-packaged formats.

What you’ll do...

  • Team Management:
    You’ll oversee the intake area, automated warehouse and frozen storage operations, including the team’s performance and correct use of equipment. Your leadership will be key to creating a positive work environment where everyone is motivated to achieve shared goals.
  • Training: You’ll be responsible for ongoing team training, ensuring that all employees are well-prepared for their roles. This includes technical training and best practices in safety and quality.
  • Daily KPI Monitoring: You’ll ensure performance targets are met and take action when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Your input will be valued in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the area, and you’ll be encouraged to propose innovative solutions.
  • Compliance with Procedures: You’ll ensure all operations strictly comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Sustainability procedures. You will play an active role in promoting a strong safety culture within your team.

What we’re looking for...

  • High school diploma (12th grade): We value technical education that equips you to perform the role effectively or relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is important for reporting, data analysis, and internal communication.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: You’ll need to communicate clearly with your team and other departments, building a collaborative environment. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills are a plus. A working level of English is required to liaise with suppliers and other departments.
  • Team management experience: Experience in leading and motivating teams is essential. Your ability to inspire trust and coordinate collective efforts is vital for success.
  • Dynamism and resilience: The ability to quickly adapt to new situations and challenges is key. We’re looking for someone who handles pressure with a positive, proactive mindset.
  • Availability: You must be available to work shift 1 (07h00–16h00) and shift 2 (16h00–01h00).
