We are looking for a Health and Safety Technician to join our SOHI team in Santarém, and we believe we are #betterwithyou.

SOHI is the result of a joint venture between MC and Hilton Foods. Operating in Santarém since 2002, it provides pre-packaged fresh meats. With a team of over 650 employees, we ensure daily deliveries to our stores. Committed to safety, well-being, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement, SOHI processes high-quality beef, pork, and lamb in pre-packaged formats.

As a Health and Safety Technician, you will face various challenges:

• Risk Assessment: Develop professional risk assessment processes aimed at preventing workplace accidents;

• Monitoring and Implementing Corrective Measures: Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and prevention/protection activities to ensure occupational health and safety conditions for employees;

• Training Delivery: Collaborate in the information and training processes for employees and other stakeholders to raise awareness of health and safety topics;

• Procedure Audits: Conduct occupational health and safety audits and emergency drills;

• Implementation of H&S Measures: Develop and monitor the implementation of self-protection measures to prevent risks at the factory facilities;

• Supplier Monitoring: Oversee the work performed by service provider companies to ensure compliance with current legislation.

What you’ll bring:

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree;

• Certified Health and Safety Technician (minimum Level 4 certification);

• Relevant experience in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (preferred);

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 (preferred);

• Certified trainer credentials (CCP);

• Proficiency in MS Office;

• English language skills;

• Schedule availability;

• Dynamism and proactivity;

• Influencing skills;

• Teamwork spirit;

• Communication skills;

• Sense of responsibility and ethics;

• Strong organizational skills.
