We are looking for a HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR to join our Sohi Team, in Santarém, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!

We count on you to...

• Ensure compliance with applicable Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and standards.

• Assess and manage occupational risks associated with business activities.

• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness and self-protection measures.

• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and proposing corrective and preventive actions.

• Conduct audits, inspections, and technical assessments, ensuring the implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive measures.

• Produce and monitor Health and Safety KPIs, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.

• Coordinate Health, Safety and Wellbeing training and awareness programmes.

• Monitor the activities of external contractors, ensuring compliance with legal and internal Health and Safety requirements.

• Manage Health and Safety documentation and maintain accurate records.

So, bring with you...

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification.

• Certified Senior Occupational Health and Safety Technician (Level VI) or equivalent professional certification.

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial/manufacturing environment.

• Up-to-date knowledge of applicable Health and Safety legislation and standards.

• Experience with ISO 45001.

• Proven team management and leadership skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard IT tools.

• Good command of English.

• Flexibility to work different schedules when required to meet business and operational needs.
