We are looking for a Layout Specialist Trainee to join our Store Design Directorate, based in Matosinhos, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!

MC’s Store Design department operates across two key pillars:

• Creation and renovation of a unique shopping experience through the design of creative, functional and innovative architecture, equipment, communication and merchandising proposals, in a sustainable and controlled manner;

• Maximisation of store and category productivity and profitability.

The Layout Specialist is responsible for developing commercial layouts for stores under the Continente, Modelo and Bom Dia banners.

We count on you to...

• Ensure the development of commercial layout proposals for new stores, major refurbishments, minor interventions and maintenance projects;
• Integrate equipment into layouts according to each business’s requirements;
• Evaluate economic analyses to reflect key inputs in layout proposals;
• Identify deviations and opportunities to optimise category space within layouts;
• Validate layout proposals with different stakeholders (Commercial, Operations and PCG);
• Be available for occasional store visits to monitor implementation and gather feedback;
• Monitor market trends (competition) and consumer behaviour.

• A higher education degree in Engineering or Management (recent graduates);
• Knowledge of CAD (mandatory)
• Knowledge of Revit (BIM) and Excel (valued);
• Strong spatial visualisation skills and ability in 2D and 3D design;
