We are looking for an Area Manager to join our Brand Responsability Team, in Matosinhos or Carnaxide, and we believe we’ll be #betterwithyou!

 

The Brand Responsibility area encompasses the social responsibility of Continente (through the Missão Continente platform) and the communication of sustainability within the business, focusing on creating a positive impact on society and the environment. The main goal of this area is to contribute to the Continente strategy by supporting local communities near the stores and strengthening emotional connections with various audiences.

 

With a strategic and integrated approach, the Brand Responsibility area ensures that Continente continues to be a transformative agent, promoting social and environmental actions that benefit both the community and the environment.

 

We count on you to...

  • Coordinate the planning, organization, and prioritization of communication for projects according to the defined objectives for the area;
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Coordinate the implementation of solidarity campaigns, goods collections, voucher sales campaigns, and national fundraising campaigns at Continente stores, following up on the delivery of donated goods to social solidarity institutions;
  • Manage relationships with social solidarity institutions and institutional partners within the scope of projects and initiatives developed by Missão Continente;
  • Act as a catalyst for collaboration and co-creation between various business teams for the development and implementation of projects and initiatives;
  • Manage requests for support and sponsorships for Missão Continente, coordinating and monitoring the process of daily surplus donations with Continente stores and institutions;
  • Coordinate the creation and production of publications and communication materials for Missão Continente (Annual Report, Sustainability Survey, Specific Studies, among others);
  • Follow new trends in Social Responsibility and Social Impact, identifying new opportunities for projects/initiatives for Missão Continente;
  • Develop an integrated sustainability communication strategy emphasizing MC's strategic priorities in sustainable production, responsible offerings, circularity, and climate action;
  • Monitor and report data on community support, Sonae and MC Annual Reports, campaigns developed, among others.

 

So, bring with you...

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree, preferably in Communication or Marketing;
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or Social Responsibility;
  • Knowledge in Social Responsibility and/or Sustainability;
  • Team management experience;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in developing effective processes and procedures;
  • Sensitivity to social media, applications, and other technologies;
  • Proficiency in tools such as Outlook, MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), Microsoft Forms, and project management tools;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Result-oriented mindset combined with a commitment to excellence;
  • Critical thinking and intellectual curiosity;
  • Interpersonal and networking skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, teamwork capabilities, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Flexibility and time management skills;
  • Availability to travel between Porto and Lisbon.
