We are looking for an OPERATIONS MANAGER to join our TRANSPORT SERVICES SALES (VST) team in Maia, and we believe we’ll be #betterwithyou!
We’re counting on you to…
- Leadership and Team Management: To ensure an efficient day-to-day operation, we need someone who does more than simply allocate tasks — someone who inspires the team, ensures alignment with objectives, and solves problems quickly and flexibly. The ability to develop and motivate each team member is essential to our success.
- Work effectively in demanding environments, while maintaining a strong focus on results and the team.
- Organization and Planning: Ensure the planning and execution of the daily transport service plan, securing all the necessary resources and adjustments so that operations run according to business needs, without compromising the logistics flow and supply to stores.
- Manage different stakeholders: You will work closely with different departments, external partners, and customers.
- Coordinate transport and information flows and ensure the availability of the resources required to meet the operational plan and expected service levels.
- Performance Indicators: Analyze costs and transport-related KPIs, implementing preventive and corrective measures whenever necessary, with the aim of delivering on work plans.
- Demonstrate a critical mindset and a strong focus on continuous improvement, challenging existing processes, promoting operational innovation, and leading transformation initiatives that contribute to increased efficiency, service quality, and team productivity.

- Educational Background: University degree;
- Previous experience in Logistics and/or Transport;
- Previous experience in team management;
- Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization (Lean, Kaizen, or similar);
- Digital Skills and Process Improvement Tools: Familiarity with data analysis, automation, and process improvement tools;
- Strong resilience and the ability to perform under pressure in dynamic and demanding environments;
- Geographical and schedule flexibility: Availability to travel within Portugal is essential, in order to support and accompany teams on the ground and maintain close contact with stakeholders.
