We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Insights & Strategy team within the Data, AI & Analytics CoE area of MC Digital, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!

We are counting on you to...

• Act as the key technical liaison between the semantic layer, AI Agents, and Data Engineering, ensuring alignment with business requirements;
• Define and validate semantic models, ensuring coverage, quality, and readiness of certified metrics for analytical consumption and AI agent usage;
• Design, maintain, and evolve the integration between the semantic layer and AI Agents, ensuring consistent, controlled, and contextualized access to information;
• Identify gaps in the semantic layer (missing metrics, inadequate granularity, incomplete lineage) and communicate them in a structured way to Data Engineering teams, with clear product-oriented acceptance criteria;
• Translate causal analysis results into actionable narratives, in collaboration with Decision Scientists, supporting strategic decision-making within the Vision One ecosystem;
• Promote an analytics culture driven by causal evidence, going beyond simple correlation;
• Provide technical leadership to the team through mentoring, code reviews, engineering standards definition, and architectural decision-making;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product Managers;
• Represent the team in internal and external technical forums.

What you bring with you...

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field;
• Higher education degree in Computer Engineering or similar fields;
• 5+ years of experience in production software development, with a proven track record in large-scale, highly available systems in production environments;
• Strong knowledge of software architecture — microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and integration patterns;
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP is a plus), CI/CD, and containerized infrastructure operations;
• Experience with containerized applications and Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting);
• Full-stack profile with strong backend expertise — able to work end-to-end, but primarily focused on services and business logic;
• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions, actively participating in refinement sessions and communicating decisions clearly;
• Proactivity, critical thinking, and curiosity;
• Nice to have: experience with Google Cloud, Agentic AI architectures, LangGraph/LangChain, or production-grade LLM-based systems;
• AI-related skills.
