We are looking for a Principal Platform Engineer for our MC Digital team, and we believe we will be #betterwithyou!

We are counting on you to…
• Define the vision and strategy for Platforms and the Platform Engineering practice, setting principles, operating model, and objectives aligned with MC’s tech transformation strategy;
• Identify opportunities to simplify the daily experience of technical roles through self-service capabilities with guardrails, aligning platform product roadmaps;
• Inspire and guide platform and engineering teams, promoting technical excellence;
• Lead experimentation, prototyping, and proof of concepts to evaluate new technologies and practices;
• Act hands-on in design, build, and evolution of platforms, setting standards by example;
• Promote adoption of Tech Fundamentals and platforms across engineering teams;
• Represent MC Digital in external technical communities and events;
• Develop AI integration strategy in platforms, including AI-assisted engineering and operational optimization.

Bring with you…
• Proven experience in Platform Engineering / Tech Leadership / Architecture (+15 years);
• Strong experience with Internal Developer Platforms and platform engineering practices;
• Cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes;
• Crossplane, Kubernetes Operators;
• DevOps/GitOps, CI/CD, automation;
• AI integration knowledge;
• Strong leadership and influence skills;
• Hands-on + strategic mindset;
• Strong communication and analytical skills;
• Availability for DevOps/on-call.

We also value…
• Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, CKA, etc.);
• Observability, Security by Design, FinOps, SRE;
• Platform engineering tools (Backstage, IaC, policy-as-code);
• Product thinking and developer metrics (DORA, SPACE);
