We are looking for a Fleet Manager to join our Transport Team in Maia, and we truly believe we will be #betterwithyou.

 

What you will be responsible for:

 

  • Ensure the legal and operational compliance of the fleet, in line with contractual and technical requirements.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of vehicles, including immobilisation of non-compliant assets and proper system registration.
  • Manage fleet data records and updates, ensuring effective communication with carriers and accurate cost charging.
  • Coordinate the vehicle washing team, ensuring fleet cleanliness and operational readiness.
  • Manage administrative processes related to accidents, incidents and breakdowns, liaising with carriers, workshops and internal teams.
  • Ensure control and management of fleet equipment (refrigeration units, mattresses, seals, straps) and related procedures.
  • Monitor fleet assets in real time, including vehicle entry and exit, replacements and temporary reinforcements.
  • Ensure safety conditions and the proper functioning of telematics and temperature control systems.
  • Conduct inspections, audits and store visits, ensuring full documental and operational compliance.
  • Create and monitor fleet performance indicators, driving continuous improvement actions and supporting the Green, Clean & Safe objectives.

 

What you bring with you:

 

  • Education: Higher education is valued.
  • Previous experience: Experience in transport and preferably in fleet management.
  • Communication: Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resilience: Strong resilience and ability to perform under pressure in dynamic and demanding environments.
  • Lean Management training (preferred, not mandatory): knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies applied to logistics contexts is valued.
  • Office tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), as technology will be an important part of your role.
