We are looking for a Expert Data Engineer to join our Data, AI & Analytics COE team, and we believe we’ll be #betterwithyou!

 
We count on you to…
•    Define and govern the architecture of data products and Data Engineering pipelines, ensuring cross-domain consistency and alignment with the data platform;
•    Establish, evolve, and implement Data Engineering standards, principles, and best practices across teams, covering ingestion, transformation, modeling, data product design, and consumption for analytics, reporting, and AI;
•    Develop and ensure the adoption of reference engineering practices, including idempotency, reprocessing, dependency control, versioning, observability, and data SLAs;
•    Define, monitor, and support migrations, technological evolutions, and upgrades of data products in coordination with the Data Platform, ensuring functional continuity, data validation, and sustained reduction of technical debt;
•    Define and implement the technical roadmap for the Data Engineering area, ensuring continuous technological evolution of data products;
•    Act as a technical reference for complex decisions and define the best approach to data-centric problems;
•    Maintain a holistic view of the technology stack, development standards, and tools used in Data Engineering;
•    Collaborate with other Engineering teams, ensuring Data Engineering solutions meet highly complex technical and functional requirements.

So, bring with you…
•    Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields;
•    Proven experience in Data Engineering;
•    Experience in defining and evolving modern data architectures, including Lakehouse and hybrid analytical platforms integrating Data Lake and Data Warehouse;
•    Experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark (or equivalent technologies);
•    Solid knowledge and experience in distributed processing (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive);
•    Experience in Cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP, or AWS);
•    Experience processing large volumes of data in batch and/or streaming;
•    Strong knowledge of engineering best practices, including versioning (Git), automation, and CI/CD pipelines;
•    Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to structure complex information;
•    Strong sense of technical responsibility, critical thinking, and systemic vision;
•    Autonomy, proactivity, and focus on sustainable long-term technical solutions;
•    Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Product, Engineering, Data Platform, and Business);
•    Continuous curiosity and willingness to evolve technologically and promote best practices.
