We are accelerating the growth of Cartão Universo in Portugal and are looking for a Retail Acquisitions Manager to lead the evolution of its retail acquisition operation.
We are looking for someone capable of building scale, elevating quality and transforming field sales operations into sustainable growth engines.
This is not just an operational management role. It is an opportunity to lead a nationwide operation with direct impact on the acquisition, activation and utilisation of one of the largest credit cards in the Portuguese market.
You will be responsible for managing the commercial operation focused on promoting and acquiring Cartão Universo through promotional stands located within partner stores across shopping centres, retail parks and other commercial environments.
The role requires strong field proximity, analytical capability, strategic vision and a strong execution mindset.
We are looking for someone capable of developing high-performing teams, creating operational discipline and implementing commercial practices that ensure sustainable growth, acquisition quality and excellence in customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Management and Commercial Operations Leadership
- Manage the nationwide operation for promoting and acquiring Cartão Universo within partner stores, ensuring high levels of performance, productivity and commercial quality
- Develop strong relationships with partners, external companies and credit intermediaries, ensuring operational alignment, continuous follow-up and compliance with defined standards
- Ensure the correct execution of commercial processes, internal policies and compliance requirements, promoting an efficient, sustainable and results-oriented operation
Training, Development and Scalability
- Lead, motivate and develop commercial promoter teams through coaching, follow-up and continuous performance improvement practices
- Develop and implement onboarding and continuous training plans, ensuring teams are prepared to promote and commercialise Cartão Universo effectively, responsibly and with quality
- Identify operational and commercial improvement opportunities, contributing to the evolution, scalability and sustainable growth of the retail acquisition model

If you have
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or a related field
- Relevant experience managing field sales teams, promoters or customer acquisition operations
- Performance management capabilities
- Analytical mindset
- Continuous improvement orientation
- Decision-making capability within dynamic and demanding environments
