We are hiring a Data Scientist for our Data Science Team.

You will be responsible for:

• Applying your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our customers engage with our products and how those insights can inform our product strategy.
• Leveraging machine learning techniques to create innovative data products that drive operational efficiency within our consumer finance operations.
• Collaborating with data engineers to ensure we collect pertinent data to derive meaningful business insights.
• Communicating with business teams to define objectives, needs, constraints and outcomes.
• Participating in designing, building, evaluating, launching, and refining Universo’s products through hands-on ML development.
• Developing and maintain data processing pipelines to build and evaluate models.
• Sharing your knowledge and experience of how to build MLOps and LLMOps systems.
• Instilling a rigorous statistical and testing culture across Universo.

If you have:

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Science roles.
• Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science/engineering, or other related technical fields with equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in end-to-end machine learning model development, including post-production activities like monitoring, retraining, and model management.
• Proven experience in utilizing machine learning to derive insights and find patterns in the data.
• Solid grounding in SQL, python as well as experience developing production Data Solutions.
• Experience leading complex and ambiguous initiatives with full autonomy.
• Ability to learn quickly and dive deep into new subjects.
• Ability to interface and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of credit scoring models and risk analytics, and financial risk modeling.
