Brand & Communication Specialist | Reskiling Projects
Sonae is looking for a brand and communication manager to lead the strategy and implementation of marketing efforts related to Reskilling Projects.
You will be joining the Corporate Brand & Communication team at the Holding Office and be responsible for creating real impact and positioning reskilling as a key corporate movement for social value, with the support of one of Portugal’s largest business groups.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a national agenda, build visibility and credibility around reskilling, and work closely with top partners across sectors, NGOs and public institutions.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the communication and marketing strategy for Sonae’s reskilling projects, ensuring strong alignment with business and social impact objectives.
Project Ownership & Implementation
- Own and execute the integrated marketing plan across PR, digital, content, website, social media and events.
- Manage relationships with communication agencies and ensure high-quality execution across channels.
- Leverage partners’ communication assets to amplify campaigns and foster credibility.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Be Sonae’s point of contact for communication within consortiums, associations and joint initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external collaborators to ensure consistent messaging and impact.
Team Management

- This position involves coordinating efforts across team members and partners to ensure aligned execution of the communication strategy.
- Promote a collaborative, curious and agile working culture.
Main requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, brand management or communications.
- Strategic thinking with hands-on ability to implement and lead projects from A to Z.
- Proven experience in managing communication agencies and executing integrated campaigns.
- Excellent copywriting, storytelling and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal capabilities.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Highly organized, autonomous and results-driven.
Work Location:
- Hybrid work model (3 days/week in the office, per company policy)
- Role based in Oporto
