To join our People & Leadership team at Sonae Holding, we are currently looking for an:
Talent Technician
We are looking for a Talent Technician with a passion for developing people, building culture, and driving talent initiatives across Sonae. You will bring our Employer Value Proposition to life through employer branding actions and lead the end-to-end management of “Contacto” – Sonae’s trainee program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sonae’s Trainee program management (Contacto Program)Oversee and implement the full program lifecycle: attraction, selection, onboarding, learning, mentoring, and offboardingCultivate a strong talent pipeline by ensuring high-quality experience, continuous feedback, and visibility for trainees across the groupEnsure alignment between the Program and the goals of the Sonae companies;
- Employer Branding & EVP activationLead initiatives that bring Sonae’s EVP to life—empowering potential, embracing diversity, and building the everyday with impactCollaborate with Business Unit teams and Brand & Communication team to share inspiring employee stories and reinforce Sonae’s identity as a top employerMaintain contact with different entities and Universities and operationalize EB initiatives (job fairs, workshops, partnerships, etc.);
- Talent management programsParticipate in the design and implementation of transversal talent management programs (e.g., succession planning, talent mapping, strategic talent reviews)Act as a connector between Business Units to ensure talent development initiatives align with business needs;
- People & Leadership metrics and trendsCollect and synthesize people data (e.g., headcount, gender equity, attrition) to generate insights that guide strategic decisionsSupport the development of group-level dashboards and benchmarking exercises.
Main Requirements:
- 1–3 years of professional experience. Ideally with experience in talent attraction / management or people development;
- Background working in project-based environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities;
- Fluent in Portuguese and English;
- Strong data storytelling, communication and collaboration skills;
- Bonus: Experience with early careers programs.
Work location:
- The role will be based at Sonae headquarters in Maia.
- Hybrid mode (following company policy: 3 days at the office).
